Kimberly Marker MS LCPC
Hello! Thank you for finding me! A huge part of counseling is building a relationship between the client and the therapist. It seems that the therapist always knows you...time to turn the tables! A little about me...
On the professional side: I have been in the field for approximately 17 years in a variety of settings including case management, Adult Protection, community based services. I graduated with my undergraduate degree at Boise State University in 2006 and waited quite a while for my graduate degree. I received my degree from Walden University in 2017, a Masters in Mental Health Counseling. I have experience working with all ages and abilities. Working in the developmental disability field I was able to better understand the need to modify treatment approaches at times. I also understand that the elderly population is highly under-served which is unfortunate as they go through some difficult life changes and transitions.
On the personal side: I am a native to Boise and have watched it grow so much over the years! This is where I will always call home. I am passionate about my work which helps me to enjoy my time outside of work even better. I appreciate the outdoors whether it be camping or paddle boarding. I spent most of my free time with my family. With a teenager and a baby, there is never a dull moment. My passion for working with individuals and couples with infertility struggles comes from a personal perspective. Our tiny human took a lot of work--through love and science. I understand the emotional, physical, and financial hardships that infertility comes with.
"There is no normal life that is free of pain. It’s the very wrestling with our problems that can be the impetus for our growth."
